1. How long does a project take?

We are able to deliver results in as little as 2 to 3 weeks depending on the scope and complexity of the challenge. Regardless of the timeline, our team is highly-skilled at quickly understanding your needs, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement, and generating real-world digital strategies, UX/UI deliverables, and technical solutions.

2. How much of a client's time do you need?

Good question. The time you invest in the process varies depending on your availability, how much you want to be involved, and the urgency of the project. Typically, this means 4‑8 hours upfront as we understand and confirm your needs, 1‑2 hours per week in process, and then 4‑8 hours at the end of a project to support quality assurance and transition solutions to your team. Whatever the case, we know your time is valuable and we've designed our approach to be efficient, effective, and easy.

3. How does Wayfinder estimate and charge for services?

Our estimates are based on the scope of work for a project. This is defined by how much time and how many resources will be required to create the materials to meet your objectives. The better and more detailed requirements you are able to provide (or we are able to gather) helps us create more accurate estimates from the start. We have a flat rate that makes accounting easier for everyone and better accommodates change, and we take a hybrid approach to billing - tracking our effort and invoicing against the estimate (barring any significant disconnect).

4. When and what types of projects does Wayfinder participate in?

Our team provides support at all levels and stages of the digital product development process including research, strategy (creative, content, technology), user experience design, user interface design, technical development, maintenance, and ongoing analysis and evolution. You may choose to work with us in one, many, or all of these areas. The types of projects we work on range from audits and quick win concepts that can be completed in a few days or weeks to large, multi-year engagements to deliver enterprise solutions.

5. Do you work with internal teams or partner with other vendors?

We say that when you work with us, you become a part of our team and we become a part of yours. We strive to bridge the gap between people and bring diverse perspectives and great ideas together. Our teams work equally well with your internal teams and other agency partners. We use every tool and technology at our disposal including popular project management applications, file sharing services, and solutions like Microsoft Teams or Slack to enable direct communication between our teams and stay connected.

6. Are you available to travel?

We normally travel to meet and collaborate with our clients and partners but the current global pandemic has put passports on pause. Fortunately, we're very comfortable with collaborating remotely, and we continue to effectively support our clients while maintaining the highest levels of communication and quality. The safety and well-being of our team members and communities is critical and we're optimistic that we'll be able to meet face-to-face soon.
